Due to the generosity of one of our British donors a Sensory Room will be constructed and equipped at the Igalo Institute, Herceg Novi, Montenegro in May 2017. The room is designed to aid those clients with Auspergers and Autism. Meritune/SNAP will also undertake to train a number of professionals in the ”state of the art” use of the room. The room will be open to all clients who have need.

During March 2017 a day care center (for the under 27 years of age) will be opened in Herceg Novi. This is a joint private/public partnership between Meritune and the Herceg Novi Municipality. Meritune has undertaken the renovation and rent of a beautiful space with views of the sea above HN.

Between 25 to 30 friends of Special Needs Advocacy Partners attended a lovely event graciously hosted by Dr’s Ana and Mislav de Corbavia at Gastrovino on the Kings Road, Chelsea, London on March 6th. The delicious food, wine and conversation flowed.
Meritune and the Igalo Institute hosted world renowned expert Dr Gordana Buljan Flander. In a first of its kind one day conference on the subject of physical and sexual abuse of one of the most vulnerable populations; the disabled. The conference was attended by over 80 persons; Including doctors, psychologists, special needs educators and parents.
